We will work together to create your experience. Is there a certain location that has significance or a hobby you like to do as a family? We will discuss what you'd like to include so we can tailor your portraits around the style and personality that fits you best.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long is a portrait session?: Our portrait sessions are typically about an hour and half long. We prefer to not put a time limit on sessions although all good things must come to an end at some point. When we feel we got enough and you feel like we've taken enough then we will wrap up the session.
What does the creative fee cover?: The creative fee covers our pre-session planning, time taking the photos, professional expertise and professional retouching on purchased images. We also provide guidance on selecting products to fit your needs including canvas, professional prints, albums and more.
Will I get to see all the images?: Unfortunately, no. We can take a lot of photos during our time together and some just don't make the cut. But don't worry, we will provide a variety for you to see during your reveal appointment.
Can I bring my pet or props?: Yes and yes!

We love when we can incorporate the furry (and sometimes not so furry) members of your family. We just ask that if you plan to bring your pet that we're aware ahead of time due to restrictions on where we can photograph your session and that they are friendly.

As for props, we highly encourage it. This is what makes your session unique and important to you.
What if the weather is bad?: We keep a pretty close eye on the weather and will be in touch if we feel rescheduling would be in the best interest. Fortunately, living in the heartland we all know that the weather can change in a matter of 10 minutes.
What should we wear?: Once you've booked your experience, we will provide a session guide that includes lots of important information such as wardrobe choices, what you can expect during a session and tips and tricks for a smooth experience.
When/how will I get to see my images?: About 10-14 days after your session, we will invite you to our in-home studio where you will get to view your images on a slideshow. This appointment generally takes 1-1.5 hours and we will help you narrow down your selections.

PLEASE NOTE: All final selections are made at this time and payment is due. We request that all the financial decision makers are present and to review our pricing guide beforehand so you have an idea of what you'd like to purchase.
Do you offer digital images?: Yes! All of our collections include digitals. You also have the option to purchase a'la carte.
